A YAML token can resolve differently across schemas. YAMLCheck deliberately chooses the YAML 1.2 core schema for every document.

Boolean words are narrow

true and false resolve as booleans; ordinary words such as yes and no remain strings under core 1.2.

Another library may select YAML 1.1 or a custom schema, so verify the final application separately.
