A duplicate mapping key is ambiguous configuration evidence. YAMLCheck reports it with a position and never formats the invalid document.
Parser behavior differs
Some consumers keep a later value while others reject the file. Treating duplicates as errors is the portable boundary.
Remove the ambiguity
Rename or merge the key deliberately, then validate again before deployment.
